About Your Teacher
Meet Michael Schirner
Michael Schirner has ten years of experience teaching music. He has spent twelve years playing acoustic guitar and singing on stage at his church, and he brings that same stage experience into every lesson.
Michael teaches private and group music lessons for children and teens in the Huntington Beach area. His goal is to help inspire every student to grow in skill while making music that is positive, heartfelt, and fun.
Michael also helps lead worship at his church.

Every program is taught one skill at a time, whether your student is picking up an instrument for the first time or ready for something more advanced.
Guitar
Beginning Guitar
Fundamentals such as how to tune, play chords, songs, and scales.
Intermediate Acoustic Guitar
Michael's specialty. More advanced songs, chord shapes, rhythms, and fingerpicking technique.
Intermediate Electric Guitar
More advanced songs, chord shapes, rhythms, and lead guitar.
Voice
Beginning Voice
Discover your voice and how technique blended with heart can make your voice soar.

Private lessons only. Basic beats, timing, and coordination for first-time drummers.

How It Works
Getting started is simple

Pick a lesson type
Choose group, private at Michael's location, or private in your home, based on what fits your family and your student's age.
- 02
Book online
Booking runs through Michael's Google Calendar scheduling page. Pick a time that works and tell him which lesson you want in the booking form.
- 03
Show up and play
Group lessons are always held at Michael's teaching location. Lessons are for kids and teens ages 4 to 18.
Reschedule policy
For individually bought lessons, the student must give at least 24 hours notice to reschedule. Without that notice, the missed lesson is still charged. With notice, Michael and the student pick a new day and time that suits both.
